Job Summary
The Sheldon B. Lubar College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a Teaching Professor (Assistant, Associate, no-prefix) who will also serve as the Dream Exchange Director of our Finance undergraduate and graduate programs to begin on January 3, 2025. Candidate to be appointed at the level of teaching professor, assistant, or associate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The primary responsibilities in this position will be to teach three (3) course load per semester (fall and spring) and one course load in summer in finance at the Lubar College of Business. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission of Lubar College by serving as the Dream Exchange Director of our finance undergraduate program and our MS in Finance Analysis program. In this role, the individual selected is expected to enhance and maintain the curriculum of our undergraduate program in finance and our MS in Finance Analysis, plan future program offerings in finance, grow enrollments in our finance programs, engage with employers, as well as mentor, and advise students helping out with their internships and job placements. The person selected is expected to provide service to the Finance Area, College, and University, and maintain professional qualifications by engaging in practice.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Business or related field specializing in Finance or an allied area
• Experience in teaching courses in any of the finance areas or related field
• Industry experience in a finance-related firm
Preferred Qualifications
• Practical experience in the field of finance
• Ties with the local finance industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as evidenced in teaching evaluations
