The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applicants for multiple tenure-track professor positions in our Finance area, with a school affiliation in either the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management or the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. The positions are at the rank of assistant professor (for candidates graduated within the past four years), untenured associate professor, tenured associate professor, and possibly full professor. The intended start date of the positions is July 1, 2025. The positions will primarily be based on our campus in Ithaca, New York.
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Finance or a related field and have an outstanding record in scholarship and teaching. Responsibilities of the positions include research in area(s) of expertise, teaching basic and advanced courses in finance at the undergraduate, master, MBA, Executive MBA, and/or Ph.D. levels, teaching in the interdisciplinary master programs at Cornell Tech, supervision of doctoral candidates, and service for the area, college, and university. It is expected that our faculty may teach across multiple schools within the College of Business.
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established 2016) combines three Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the Nolan School of Hotel Administration (Nolan).
The Nolan School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University is the top-ranked hospitality management program worldwide, with undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. programs. The Dyson School houses a top-ranked undergraduate business program as well as graduate programs that award Ph.D., M.S. and M.P.S. degrees. Areas of faculty research include management; environmental, energy and resource economics; food and agricultural economics; and international and development economics. The Johnson School offers MBA, Accelerated MBA, Executive MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Courses and programs are taught at Cornell’s main Ithaca campus, the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, and other locations across the globe. In New York City, the Johnson School offers a one-year Tech-focused MBA program, the weekend-based Executive MBA Metro program, and the Executive MBA/MS in Healthcare Leadership in partnership with the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Faculty members in all three schools frequently collaborate with colleagues in Computer and Information Sciences, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Natural Resources, Real Estate, Statistics, and other units on campus.

The hiring offer for this position may be up to $329,600 depending on rank, education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.
