The Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia seeks applications to fill two Postdoctoral Fellow research positions in Finance. The selected candidate will closely collaborate with the finance area faculty at Scheller and can also be affiliated with Financial Services Innovation Lab and Quantitative and Computational Finance program at Georgia Tech. In addition to research expectations, responsibilities include teaching one course at the undergraduate level per year.  The applicant will also be expected to contribute to the outreach activities of the finance area, including conference organization and workshops. There is flexibility with regards to the starting date to accommodate the   selected candidate.

The postdoc is expected to begin in August 2024, with start dates as late as January 2025 also being considered. The initial appointment is for one year and may be renewed depending on mutual consent, satisfactory performance, and the availability of resources. The selected candidates may also be able to get access to some proprietary datasets from the credit bureau as part of the research collaboration subject to appropriate approvals from the credit bureau and Georgia Tech.

Qualifications: Preference is for candidates with a Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or other relevant quantitative field. ABD (All but dissertation) candidates must have successfully defended their dissertation no later than July 1, 2024 for an August 1, 2024 start date. Candidates should have a strong interest in applying these skills to large data sets in Financial Markets, Household Finance and FinTech.

Compensation: This is a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track research faculty, benefits-eligible appointment with the possibility of extension. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with skills and experience.
