The Department of Finance at the UConn School of Business seeks academically and professionally qualified instructors to serve as adjunct faculty in a variety of undergraduate and graduate level online courses in finance. Recruitment is ongoing and applicants will be considered for future semester course planning. Adjunct faculty typically teach one or two courses per semester and are paid by the course. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • CFA or earned Master’s degree in finance or related field. Exceptions may be made for certain academic areas at the undergraduate level based on specialized experience or related certifications. For such exceptions, a Bachelor’s degree will be required.
  • Relevant industry or research experience related to the course content.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree in an area relevant to the field.
  • Previous teaching experience in an online and/or asynchronous modality.
  • Previous teaching experience of relevant courses at an AACSB-accredited institution.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

These are temporary positions (teaching one to two courses) for a period of one semester, with the possibility of re-hire depending upon department/program needs and available funding. Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview.
