The College is committed to investing in research support tools for faculty, including new databases and travel support funding.
Within the department, the Finance Program looks to provide students with challenging career-oriented undergraduate and graduate preparation needed to acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in finance careers and to pursue graduate studies. The Finance major requirements provide students with a broad understanding of financial theory and institutions. The Finance Program prepares students for a variety of career opportunities within financial institutions, governmental agencies and private industry. The Finance Program is supported by a Bloomberg trading lab which houses 12 Bloomberg terminals, the largest lab of its kind among New Jersey institutions of higher education. The Finance Program also aims to enhance the integration of computing technology and analytical skills through curriculum and pedagogical development, while continuing to build the finance, leadership, and communication skills that the profession demands. We continuously evaluate our curriculum and have recently introduced new course offerings in the area of data analytics.
