Location: Bethesda, MD/Remote

Reports to: Chief Finance & Information Officer

As the Controller, you will manage the financial activities of the finance department of the Association and related entities in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors, and GAAP.  You will coordinate activities with an outsourced financial partner and lead the internal and external accounting teams.  You will assist senior management and directors in the implementation of AABB’s policies and goals, including operations, programs, financial performance, and member services.  This position reports to the Chief Financial & Information Officer and works closely with the outsourced financial partner.

 

Qualified candidates offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 10 years of experience running the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of an organization
  • Extensive experience with GAAP and nonprofit accounting
  • Thorough working knowledge of financial activities of not-for-profit business organizations
  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility through effective budgetary management
