The Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in finance at the level.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
Established in Beijing in November, 2002 with support from the Li Ka Shing Foundation, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) is China's first privately-funded and research-driven business school. CKGSB boasts more than 40 full-time professors, more than half of whom previously tenured at leading business schools such as Wharton, Chicago, Columbia and Yale. Their research has provided the basis for more than 500 case studies on China-specific and global issues. CKGSB also stands apart for its unmatched alumni network. More than half of its 20,000+ alumni are at the CEO or Chairman level and, collectively, they lead one fifth of China's 100 most valuable brands. CKGSB aims to cultivate a global ecosystem that fosters a new generation of economic disruptors with an enhanced emphasis on global responsibility, social purpose and long-term vision. To date, the school has nurtured over 1,000 founders and co-founders, ranging from Series A startups to more mature ventures, including founders of 136 unicorn companies.
Headquartered in Beijing, CKGSB has campuses or representative offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, New York, and London. The school offers innovative degree and non-degree programs, including MBA, Executive MBA, Business Scholars Program, and Executive Education programs in several languages.
The school is looking for the best candidates with great research potential who are willing to grow with the most exciting business school in China. Both Chinese and non-Chinese scholars are encouraged to apply; fluency in Chinese is not required. The school offers a compensation package that is competitive with the best North American and other leading international business schools. The school also offers generous research support.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Full Professor:
Applicants for a Full Professor level appointment should have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution, an established track record of scholarly research (especially on Chinese market) and publications in top academic journals. The applicant should be able to demonstrate her/his capability to take a leading role in teaching, research and service.
Associate Professor:
Applicants for an Associate Professor level appointment should have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution, a documented excellence in research (especially on Chinese market) as evidenced by publications in top scholarly journals, and must be engaged in important ongoing research, and have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
Assistant Professor:
All candidates must have completed a PhD in Finance or a related discipline by August 2024. Candidates must have a demonstrated interest in pursuing first-rate research and teaching in the field of finance and have evidence of successful research activity and teaching.
