JOB PURPOSE: The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis leads a small but integral team that supports both the centralized and decentralized elements of the College’s annual operating budget. The team also participates in long-term financial planning and special projects to support data driven decisions by the senior leadership team and the board of trustees. The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis provides essential technical and analytical skills to the Finance team as well as serving as the lead analytic/budget resource for all departments with the exception of Facilities and Campus Services which has an internal Director of Finance & Administration.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor’s degree in the areas of accounting, financial analysis, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, business administration, or related field is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses/Certificates: A California CPA license is preferred or demonstrated equivalence with quantitative analytical skills. Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the areas of budgeting, finance, or accounting is required, with 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity, preferably from a college or university.
REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this full time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to needs of the College or division.
