Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business seeks two (2) tenure track positions at the Assistant Professor rank in the Department of Finance. All teaching and research areas in finance will be considered. Baylor is a Christian university and a Carnegie R1 (top-tier) research institution. Candidates must demonstrate a solid commitment to teaching and research (which leads to high-quality refereed publications) and an active Christian faith.


The Department, School of Business, and the University provide excellent support for faculty research. The standard teaching load for incoming Assistant Professors is three semester-long courses per year, contingent on ongoing research productivity. Compensation is competitive with Carnegie R1 research universities. Recent publications from the Finance department include those in: Journal of Finance, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science.


Preliminary interviews will be held at the FMA/AFA conferences or by Zoom. We will begin evaluating applications on September 25, 2023 (for the FMA cycle) and continue evaluating applications until the positions are filled. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in finance or related fields.  Doctoral degree must be completed by August 2024.
