The Department of Accounting and Finance is looking to recruit a full-time faculty member at the Lecturer level in the area of Finance. The position is open ended, and the Lecturer is equivalent to Assistant Professor in other countries. A specialisation in any of these areas Socially Responsible Investment, Climate Finance, Financial Econometrics, Machine Learning in Finance, would be highly desirable.
We are looking for an individual with an exciting research agenda that either complements or adds to the interests of our current faculty. The Finance Group has three existing research groups, Business Finance (BF), Quantitative Finance (QF), and Sustainable Accounting, Finance and Economics (SAFE), focusing on topics such as company finance in both public and private companies, venture capital, financial markets, derivatives, risk management, cryptocurrencies, sustainable finance, climate finance.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their research has publication potential in top level journals, as indicated by rankings in the Finance and Economics ABS current journal ranking list and FT50 list.
The successful candidate will be an engaged academic who enjoys working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and shows enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
They should have experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as a preparedness to teach specialist and core subjects.
