The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track position in Finance at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank beginning Fall 2023.

 

Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the strong teaching reputation of the department's faculty and conduct high-quality peer-reviewed research that is publishable in high-quality journals in Finance and closely related fields.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Ph.D. in Finance Three or more years of university teaching/research experience Either education in, or experience working with, the U.S. financial markets Demonstrated potential for research publications in high-quality Finance Journals

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Evidence of ongoing high-quality research productivity Demonstrated excellence in teaching Commitment to Departmental, College, University, and professional service Professional certification (ex. CFA, CFP, CPA, etc.)

The College of Business

 

The University of Wyoming College of Business (http://www.uwyo.edu/business/) is AACSB accredited and is in a state-of-the-art, LEED-certified building. The College currently offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, marketing, professional sales, management of human resources, accounting, entrepreneurship, economics, and finance. The College offers an MBA, Master's degrees in accounting, economics, and finance, and Ph.D. degrees in marketing and economics. It is one of 11 member schools of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative College Program. The college recently completed a new strategic plan with goals to advance world-class research, integrate more experiential learning, engage in more stakeholder outreach, expand global connections, and grow online offerings.

 

The Department of Accounting and Finance offers bachelor's and master's degrees in each discipline. The Finance faculty have published in high-quality journals such as Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Review of Finance, and Journal of Corporate Finance.
