As announced in August 2022, the Department of Finance at CUHK Business School is conducting its recruitment in two cycles (one around the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting and the other around the American Finance Association meetings). The deadline for the first cycle has passed, and the department is now inviting applications for the second cycle for the position of Assistant Professor.

Applications from qualified scholars in all specialty areas of finance will be considered. Individuals with expertise in corporate finance, investments and asset pricing are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants should have a relevant doctoral degree (or one that is close to completion). They should also demonstrate a specialty in mainstream finance or in a related field mentioned above. The appointee will be required to teach postgraduate and undergraduate finance courses and will be expected to publish in top-tier finance journals.

Appointments will normally be made on a contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2023, which, subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
