The Eugene F. Brigham Finance, Insurance & Real Estate Department at the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business is seeking to hire a tenure-track faculty member with a specialization in real estate/housing/mortgage finance to start fall 2023. Position availability is at the experienced Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in finance or economics and currently hold the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, or be employed in a research position in the Federal Reserve system or similar entities.

 

The successful candidates must have demonstrated the ability to publish research in top refereed journals and the ability to effectively teach at the university level.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

 

This position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The position will include a teaching load of three semester courses per academic year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels as well as high-level research and some service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the real estate finance/investment area, which may include household and mortgage finance.    

 

Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of publications in top-tier finance, economics, and real estate journals.

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with top business schools. The college also offers Research Grant funding during the summer commensurate with peer universities.
