The Graduate School of Business at Columbia University seeks to hire an assistant, associate, or full professor of professional practice with business experience in economics comparable to the rank. The School is looking for an experienced Professor of Professional Practice with an economics background who can teach microeconomics or macroeconomics for MBAs, as well as elective courses that bring industry experience into the MBA classroom (e.g., courses focused on the digital economy, data analytics, and climate change).
All applicants should have an MBA or higher degree from an accredited institution. Applicants should have a track record of excellence in service to professional organizations and demonstrate potential for successful teaching and institution building.
Professors of professional practice are expected to have at least 10 years of business or other applicable experience. Assistant professors of professional practice should have at least 3 years of business, and associate professors of professional practice should have at least 6 years of business or other applicable experience.
