The Department of Finance at CUHK Business School is inviting applications for the positions of Professor(s)/ Associate Professor(s).

The Department of Finance currently has 35+ faculty members, with 2/3 of them being tenured and tenure-track faculty in different areas of finance.  The Department has been expanding in recent years and is on upward trajectory in research productivity, with many faculty members successfully publishing in Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others.  The Department is currently ranked no. 27 globally and no. 2 in Asia-Pacific in the Arizona State University (ASU) World Finance Department Research Ranking, based on publications in the top four Finance journals in 2017-2021. The Department is now looking for seasoned scholars to join this young and highly productive group.
 
For appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates should have excellent track record of publications at the very best journals and demonstratable teaching performance.  For appointment at the rank of Professor, they should also demonstrate strong record of professional achievement and visibility, such as current or past editorial board positions at major journals, consistent participation in major conferences.  For either appointment, candidates are expected to provide leadership to help the Department to grow, and teach in the more demanding postgraduate programmes (MSc/MBA/EMBA/PhD).
