The Graduate School of China (GSC) in Sungkyunkwan University invites applications for tenure-track positions in Finance at assistant, associate, or full professor level beginning in Fall semester(September), 2022 or Spring semester(March), 2023. Qualified applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree by the date of appointment. Appointees are expected to perform high quality research/scholarly activities and lectures in English and Mandarin Chinese at graduate and undergraduate level. Competitive candidates will also have a proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly publications appropriate for their ranks.

◼About SKK Graduate School of China (SKK GSC)

SKK GSC was launched in 2005 for the Chinese Business program, one of the core and strategic programs of SKKU, at the heart of Seoul. SKK GSC focuses on fostering students for future leaders in China business with sophisticated insights and excellent abilities to solve complex problems and challenges in the context of dealing with Chinese market, culture, and business circumstance. SKK GSC is operating a two-track structure: the week-day program in three different business areas - Chinese marketing, finance, and strategy/entrepreneurship; the week-end program in Chinese business management mainly for professionals with substantial experiences.

◼Required Qualifications

-Candidates must hold a doctorate degree in a relevant discipline(s) at the time of application or are expected to earn a doctorate degree by the anticipated starting date.

-Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity to publish high quality research in top journals and a record of teaching excellence. Candidates who are seeking positions at senior level should have published at least one paper in the top tier journals

-Knowledge of Korean language is NOT required. Candidates are expected to conduct teaching in Mandarin Chinese and English.

-Candidates must not have any disqualifying factors according to the relevant laws and regulations of South Korean Government as well as SKK GSC.

◼Compensation Package

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.

◼Teaching Load

9-15 credits per year (1 SKKU credit is equivalent to 1 teaching hour per week / 15 weeks per semester) – duty credits for each faculty may vary depending on their research performance.
