Job Description Summary
The Finance department at Bentley University seeks applications for the position of a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor, beginning in Fall 2022. The department is comprised of about 20 full time faculty (including tenure track, tenured and non-tenured positions) and several adjunct faculty. With a strong faculty of teacher-scholars, Bentley strives to lead higher education in the integration of global business with the arts and sciences, information technology, and corporate ethics and social responsibility. As guided by our Academic Affairs Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Strategic Plan, Bentley University seeks to enhance our faculty capacity in the scholarship, pedagogy, and engagement related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. To achieve that, we are hiring a cohort of new faculty in multiple academic departments and disciplines with expertise in DEI. This position is intended to be part of our DEI faculty cohort, which will enrich our DEI expertise across Business and the Liberal Arts & Sciences. Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should have a doctoral degree in finance or a related field and should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarly research. We have a strong preference for candidates with the following backgrounds: (i) ability and experience in conducting research and/or pedagogy on topics pertaining to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; (ii) teaching experience in Finance at both the undergraduate and graduate-level (MBA/MS programs), preferably FinTech courses, as well as having evidence of potential to publish in well regarded academic journals.Salary is competitive and support is available for summer research, course development, and travel to professional meetings.Professorial rank will be a function of the candidate's experience.
