Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Finance

 

The Department of Finance in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech anticipates one or more openings for a senior level position (Associate or Full Professor) beginning Fall 2022, in our Blacksburg, Virginia location. We also invite inquiry from candidates for Assistant Professor though our focus is at the senior level.  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for Associate and Full Professor should show an established record of publication in top-tier Finance journals, and leadership experience commensurate with the level.  Candidates for Assistant Professor should be committed to pursuing high-quality research and teaching excellence, and show evidence of research with publications or demonstrate promise to publish in top-tier Finance journals.  All candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Finance or a related field prior to the date of hire. Candidates with a doctoral degree in Finance from a premier business school will be strongly preferred.

JOB DUTIES: Teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, advising PhD students, conducting high-quality research and performing service assignments.  Occasional travel to attend professional conferences and meetings is required.
