Chair of the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a twelve-month, tenured Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis, beginning July 1, 2022.

The Chair of the Economics, Finance and Quantitative Analysis Department (EFQA Chair) is required to implement the departmental strategic plan, to manage and allocate resources, to oversee the department’s budget, to facilitate all departmental activities and to provide leadership toward the achievement of excellence in teaching, research, and service activities of the department.

The EFQA Chair is responsible for overseeing student development and for communicating with all constituents in a respectful and collegial manner.

The EFQA Chair will work closely with other academic department chairs, the Dean of the College, the Provost, and other administrative unit directors in achieving the University’s strategic goals.

An earned doctorate in Economics, Finance, Quantitative Analysis, or closely related field from an accredited institution, or its foreign equivalent is required.

Candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching and research in the areas of Economics, Finance or Quantitative Analysis that merits appointment as a full professor with tenure in the Economics, Finance Quantitative Analysis Department.

The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to perform necessary administrative tasks (which could be demonstrated by professional experience).
