Duties and Responsibilities: If selected, you will participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching, engage in scholarly research, and provide School/University service appropriate to your academic rank. Teaching includes the finance PhD seminars in Corporate Finance Theory and/or Empirical Corporate Finance as well as courses at lower levels.
PhD in Finance or a related discipline with research specialization in an area of Corporate Finance.
ABD applicants will be considered if all requirements for the PhD degree will be completed by August 15, 2022. If all requirements for the doctorate have not been completed by date of appointment, a one-year, term, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Instructor may be offered in accordance with University policy (http://policies.siu.edu/personnel-policies/chapter2/ch2-faps/conting.php).
Applicants must show strong potential to engage in research that leads to publications in high quality journals and effective teaching.
Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of excellent teaching ability at the graduate and undergraduate level and/or their ability to produce scholarly work at the highest level.
