Assistant Professor of Finance

Singapore Management University (SMU) invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Finance in the area of real estate finance research.

Requirement: Ph.D. in hand or very close to completion. Candidates are expected to demonstrate potential for high quality research.

ABOUT LEE KONG CHIAN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND FINANCE GROUP AT SMU: Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB) at Singapore Management University is a dynamic business school with about 3,000 students and over a hundred full-time faculty members, offering undergraduate, master's (including MBA and EMBA), and doctoral programs. It is accredited by AACSB International, EQUIS, and AMBA.

Faculty members in the Finance group at LKCSB received their doctorates from leading research universities and regularly publish in all top-tier finance journals. In the ASU finance research rankings,  based on publications in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis for the 2017-2020 period, SMU is ranked 40th worldwide and 3rd  in Asia. In the 2021 Shanghai Ranking of finance research, SMU is ranked 30th worldwide and 1st in Asia.
