Open Rank, Finance Faculty - University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce

The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track or tenured faculty position in the Finance Area. Applicants at all ranks will be considered with a preference for those at the assistant professor rank. Employment begins August 2022. We seek to hire faculty who stand out with respect to both research productivity and teaching potential. We will consider faculty in all areas of finance, but we are especially interested in candidates with experience in alternative investments.

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Finance or a related discipline by the start date of the position. Candidates must also have evidence of progressing to a record of strong research, teaching, and service. The strongest candidates will have: 1) demonstrated the potential to generate research of the highest quality and publish in premier academic outlets; 2) the ability to teach courses in the Finance discipline at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; 3) an interest in engaging with financial professionals, and 4) the interest in and potential to contribute as a leader at McIntire.  We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and welcome diversity in all forms.
