Open-Rank Position in Finance

The Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position starting August 2022. Although the position is open with respect to rank, the preference is for a recent PhD graduate/candidate or an advanced assistant. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or DBA in Finance or related field, with an outstanding record or promise for high quality research and teaching.  Candidates for tenure rank will possess academic credentials to qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at Vanderbilt University.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, a current vita, a statement of research and teaching interests, three letters of reference, sample publications and/or working papers, and teaching evaluations, if applicable, by December 10, 2021 to receive full consideration.  However, applications will continue to be considered until the position is filled.  All initial interviews will be conducted virtually via Zoom.

About the School

The Owen Graduate School of Management is engaged in graduate and undergraduate management education. It has an enrollment of over 550 full-time students in its full-time MBA, Health Care MBA, Executive MBA (EMBA), Americas MBA for executives (AMBA), Master of Science in Finance (MSF), Masters of Accountancy (MAcc), MAcc Valuation, Master of Marketing (MMark), and Masters of Management in Health Care (MMHC) programs. In addition, Owen faculty members teach in the Vanderbilt University undergraduate business minor. The school’s full-time faculty members are actively engaged in research. Owen enrolls students from all parts of the U.S. and 35 countries. Vanderbilt University is an internationally recognized research university with a 333-acre campus located 1.5 miles from downtown Nashville. Home to more than 1.8 million people, the Nashville metropolitan area has over a dozen colleges and universities and features many cultural and recreational amenities including a symphony orchestra, professional sports, an extensive park system, and live music offerings across a broad variety of genres.
