Lecturer in Finance

The position is a 3-year fixed-term, full-time position. 

Your role and goals

The position is in the field of finance. Taking into account your specific expertise, the job involves teaching courses in all areas of finance at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels, thesis supervison, and independent research. You will also contribute to the planning and management of courses, curriculum design, development of teaching, and administrative tasks. The language of teaching is mostly English so the applicants are expected to have high proficiency in English. While the emphasis of the post is on teaching, the lecturer is encouraged to conduct research, with access to seminars, data, and a collegial research environment.

The position will be filled at either University Lecturer or Senior University Lecturer level.  Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in finance or a related field. The job is located at the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi, Espoo, which is a 15-minute subway ride from the vibrant downtown of the nation’s capital Helsinki. The salary will be determined according to the salary scales of the General collective agreement for universities, on requirement level OV06 or OV07.
