The University of West Florida invites applications for the position of Director of Finance of the FL SBDC Network Headquarters, position #127210.  The University seeks an articulate and energetic individual who will provide excellent customer service and problem solving initiative.

The Director of Finance of the FL SBDC Network Headquarters is a full-time position with the SBDC Headquarters’ office located in downtown Pensacola. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting, developing, administering, evaluating, and monitoring proposals and operating budgets for the statewide programs of the Florida SBDC. Advises leadership on financial actions. Should have substantial experience in federal/state grant management to include development, reporting, and implementation of administrative policies across all phases of the grant lifecycle. Evaluates and forecasts financial decisions to leadership, subcontractors and partners. Leads budget support team and liaisons with internal and external administrative and financial partners.

Minimum Qualifications:  Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.  

Preferred Qualifications:  Master's degree or credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant or the ability to sit for the exam are preferred. The following experience is preferred: (a) experience in complex work environments; (b) academic-related experience; (c) contracting experience; (d) experience working in organizations that embrace change and transformation; (e) experience in financial accounting.

Salary:   Salary range is $90,000 - $98,000.  Preferred response date for applications is May 24, 2021.
