The Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Finance to begin in August 2021. Teaching needs may include Introduction to Finance, Corporate Finance, International Finance, and Banking and Financial Markets.

Essential Duties to Include:

Typically teach three classes per semester, maintain required level of research, and serve on department, college, and university committees. Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution by the start of employment.

A record of high quality teaching.

The ability to produce quality research and publications.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The Department:

The Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance includes 20 full-time finance, insurance and law faculty serving approximately 350 undergraduate majors. The department also provides classes for the MBA and other graduate programs.
