The College of Business at Tennessee Technological University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank starting in August 2021. All areas of interest will be considered.  Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate and/or M.B.A. levels. 

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or D.B.A. with a specialization in Finance from an AACSB-accredited college of business. ABDs in advanced dissertation stages will also be considered but the degree must be conferred by start date (8/1/2021).  Candidates should demonstrate the potential for excellent teaching, research, and service to the university and profession.    

Preferred Qualifications: Interest in the area of Investments. Teaching experience, including online/hybrid modalities. Professional experience and/or certifications.

Tennessee Technological University and the College of Business emphasize quality teaching and mentoring.  The typical teaching load is 9 hours (3 classes) per semester.  Instruction is provided in classroom, online, and hybrid learning environments.  Research leading to refereed publications is required.  Engagement with the business community and service to the university and the profession are expected. 

Serving 1,400 students, the College of Business offers undergraduate (BSBA and BS in Economics) and graduate (MBA and MAcc) degrees and holds AACSB accreditation in Business and Accounting.  Undergraduate majors include Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Accounting, and Information Technology.  The College also offers a range of innovative minors and certificates at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 

Serving 10,500 students, Tennessee Technological University is located in Cookeville - one hour from the Nashville International Airport and situated in the picturesque Upper Cumberland Region of Middle Tennessee.
