The Finance Department in the Wisconsin School of Business seeks an Assistant Professor in the field of Finance, Investment, and Banking. The job duties include: create and maintain a strong program of research; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Wisconsin School of Business; provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking students; contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department. University and community service will be expected as appropriate.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance or a related discipline (or expect to complete the requirements for the degree by August 2020). Candidate with new or anticipated Ph.D. degrees will have research under way that is likely to result in one or more publications in top tier journals, and will have presentation skills that suggest future excellence in teaching. Well qualified seasoned applicants will have demonstrated high quality research with publications in top tier journals, and will have demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching.
