The Department of Finance at the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at University of Delaware invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning Fall 2020.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in finance or a related field, or expect to complete a Ph.D. by August 31, 2020, and should demonstrate the potential for outstanding achievement in research and teaching. Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop an innovative, cutting-edge, and internationally recognized research program. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Teaching or research interest in FinTech is a plus.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance currently has 18 full-time faculty members, including 13 tenured or tenure-track professors. The Department offers BS and MS degrees in Finance, and it also supports the Department of Economics' PhD program, the PhD program in Financial Services Analytics, and the College's MBA programs. All degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB.
The Department highly values publications in top journals in finance and related disciplines, and provides excellent research support, including an attractive teaching load, a one-semester third-year research sabbatical, strong database resources, an active seminar and internal workshop series, access to a high-performance computing cluster, and trading laboratory facilities.
