Assistant Professor Positions

The Department of Finance Insurance and Real Estate at the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business is seeking to hire up to three tenure-track faculty members to start fall 2020. Position availability are at the Assistant Professor level, which may be filled by either new or experienced Assistant Professors. One of the positions is targeted towards candidates whose research emphasis is in the FinTech area.   

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or near completion) in finance or a related field such as economics. The successful candidates must demonstrate potential for research leading to publications in top refereed journals and effective teaching at the university level.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The positions carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The positions will include a teaching load of three semester courses per academic year at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels as well as high-level research and some service.

For at least one of the positions, preference will be given to candidates with a track record of FinTech publications in top-tier finance and economics journals or ample evidence of the ability to publish in such journals.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with top business schools. The college also offers Research Grant funding during the summer commensurate with peer universities.
