Full Professor of Finance and Mapletree Professor in Real Estate
Singapore Management University (SMU) invites applications for a tenured full professor position in finance to hold the Mapletree professorship in real estate.
The candidate should preferably be an internationally prominent scholar with a Ph.D. and established record of high quality research with evidence of sustained scholarship and publications in top tier finance journals. The candidate should also have a proven track record of teaching real estate finance. Candidates are expected to mentor junior faculty members in research and should be effective teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

ABOUT THE FINANCE GROUP AT SMU: Faculty members in the Finance group have PhDs from Cornell, Harvard, INSEAD, Iowa, London Business School, Ohio State, Princeton, Rochester, Stanford, UT-Austin, and Washington (St Louis) among others. SMU’s Finance faculty are productive in research. From 2008 to 2017, they published 32 articles in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies, which ranks the SMU Finance group 41st worldwide, 2nd in Asia, and 1st in Singapore. SMU subscribes to all major financial databases and provides generous research funds to support conference travel and other research activities. The group hosts an annual summer research camp, an active research seminar series, and research visits by distinguished finance scholars from leading universities.
