The Department of Finance at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University invites applications for one finance faculty position to begin Fall 2019. This position is contingent on funding.

JOB DESCRIPTION: At the assistant professor level, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated potential for publishing high quality research in leading journals. Candidates currently serving at the associate professor level who have an established record of publishing in top journals may be considered for endowed positions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Finance or equivalent is required. We will consider candidates in all areas of finance. Faculty will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels and conduct research publishable in top journals.

FURTHER INFORMATION: The Department offers competitive compensation, and excellent faculty support, including state-of-the-art computer facilities, databases, summer research funding, and research assistance. Texas A&M University is located in College Station, Texas, a vibrant university community located approximately 90 miles from Houston and 100 miles from Austin.

The Department will conduct initial interviews of some candidates at the annual meeting of American Finance Association in Atlanta, January 4-6, 2019. Screening of applications will begin immediately upon receipt and will continue until the position is filled.
