Open Rank Professor of Commerce (Finance Area)

The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for a full-time, 9 -month tenure track professor in finance. The position is open to all ranks. Primary duties consist of research and teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Finance. Other duties include mentoring and advising students and service to the department, school and university.

For appointment at the Assistant professor rank, applicants must have completed their PhD degree by the start date of the appointment, August 2019, and must have clear potential for excellence in research and teaching. For appointment at the tenured Associate or Full Professor rank, applicants must have a strong established record in both research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who possess research expertise and interests that contribute to McIntire's collaborative research culture. Evidence of an explicit commitment to diversity and of advancing understanding and outcomes for underrepresented groups is desired. Practical business experience is strongly preferred.
