As a Gas South Financial Analyst, you would play a critical role in business decisions, get to work closely with company leadership, and make a direct impact.

What you will do

  • Consolidate and analyze historical financial data to produce forecasts
  • Support the month-end accounting close process and analytics
  • Review actual financial results against forecasted data and determine causes of variances
  • Build and validate models from large datasets
  • Assist with preparation of annual budget
  • Make strategic recommendations for solutions to business problems
  • Improve operational and analytical efficiency
  • Provide clear interpretation and presentation of financial data and analysis to stakeholders
  • Perform large commercial credit analysis for prospective customer credit decisions

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (accounting, finance or other quantitative degree)
  • 3+ years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis role in a company, public accounting audit experience or other relevant consulting experience
  • Highly skilled in Excel, including creating pivot tables, macros and complex formulas
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements

Preferred Experience:

  • Utilizing data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Manipulating and analyzing large datasets
