An ETF start-up in San Francisco is looking for a candidate who can make an immediate contribution to the business operations and research of its team.  This includes understanding and leading operations, trading, research  and sales.

If you have 8-10 years management experience in the ETF or asset management landscape with a strong quantitative background and are interested in a great opportunity to join a dynamic team, send us your resume. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the development and expansion of ETF start-up
  • Partner with senior management and research staff to drive new research ideas
  • Facilitate the execution of marketing and distribution goals to drive sales and grow AUM
  • Create progressive structure to ensure scalability and efficiency
  • Manage all trade-related activities across the firm
  • Raise profile and awareness of the firm’s strategies through public-speaking engagements
  • Effectively communicate complex concepts and procedures across all levels of the firm
  • Occasional travel should be expected

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • 8-10 years experience REQUIRED in ETF or asset management space
  • Outstanding academic achievement in quantitative discipline REQUIRED; PhD preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership growing a business in entrepreneurial environment
  • Originality in thinking and ability to bring new ideas and creative solutions to the table
  • Complex modeling ability; ideally predictive modeling experience
  • Excellent foundation of knowledge in investments and investment management fundamentals including: investment products, asset classes, investment strategies and portfolio experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing and distribution channels within the asset management and ETF space
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.   Ability to present technical material clearly to clients with different technical backgrounds
  • Proficiency with statistical packages; preferably R
  • Innovative leader who drives culture of high performance through staff motivation and development
