About SKK Graduate School of China (SKK GSC)

SKK GSC was launched in 2005 for the Chinese MBA program, one of the core and strategic programs of SKKU, at the heart of Seoul. SKK GSC focuses on fostering students for future leaders in China business with sophisticated insights and excellent abilities to solve complex problems and challenges in the context of dealing with Chinese market, culture, and business circumstance. SKK GSC is operating a two-track structure: the week-day program in three different business areas - Chinese marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship/strategy; the week-end program in Chinese business management mainly for professionals with substantial experiences.

Assistant, Associate or Full Professor



The Graduate School of China (GSC) in Sungkyunkwan University invites applications for tenure-track positions in Finance at assistant, associate, or full professor level beginning in Spring semester, 2018 (March). Qualified applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree by the date of appointment. Appointees are expected to perform high quality research/scholarly activities and lecture in English and Chinese at graduate and undergraduate level. Competitive candidates will also have a proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly publications appropriate for their ranks.

  • Members of GSC faculty could meet candidates at the 2018 AFA Conference on Jan. 5-7 held in Philadelphia.


Required Qualifications

Candidates must hold a doctorate degree in a relevant discipline(s) at the time of application or are expected to earn a doctorate degree by the anticipated starting date. Only non-Koreans can apply for the position. Knowledge of Korean language is NOT required since the main languages of instruction and administration are English and Chinese. Candidates must not have any disqualifying factors according to the relevant laws and regulations of South Korean Government as well as SKK GSC.


Compensation Package

*USD currency below is converted from KRW, and therefore is approximate value.


Annual salary commensurate with educational background, work experience and research performance. Typically, USD 60,000 is the starting point for Ph.D. holders. Salary increment rate will follow the table established by the University Administration.

Research incentive

Research fund: USD 13,000 per year (up to 4 years after employment)

Research incentives:

- USD 25,000 for each publication in S-list academic journal

- USD 8,500 for A1-list academic journal

*List of S/A1 academic journals will be notified to selected candidates.

*Research incentives above will be provided only if paper is published by a (single) main author.

 (If there are multiple authors, the incentives will be adjusted.)

Fringe Benefits

Teaching Load
