Position Summary:


Leads the development, implementation, management, and administration of UCOP's new budgeting and planning financial systems. Includes design and implementation of key systems improvements, design of data and process flows, data validations and other systems implementation and management activities including reporting. Designs, implements, and manages systems to support core business operations, particularly budgets, forecasts and reporting. Works closely with the Executive Director, Budget and Finance and the IT Project Management Office to ensure success of systems implementation and long-term systems management. Manages and optimizes existing systems during system transformation to achieve short-term goals.


Creates and implements financial modeling and reporting standards, leveraging full capabilities of existing and new tools and systems. Develops KPIs, reporting dashboards, and templates to efficiently deliver ad hoc reporting and forecasting to the organization.


Plays a critical lead role in the continued development of an improved UCOP budget and the annual budget and forecasting processes as well as analyzing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to management. Assures systems capabilities are in place to support department and organizational goals related to budgeting and financial planning.


This role will require creation of Board level presentations. This is a key role in various high profile and high visibility Finance and Budgeting initiatives.
