The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) seeks applications and nominations for the Vice Chancellor Administration and Finance (VCAF). 

As a senior university leader reporting to the newly appointed UCCS Chancellor, Venkat Reddy, the VCAF is an expert chief business officer responsible for a broad portfolio of university functions critical to the success of students, faculty and staff and the welfare and vibrancy of UCCS campus and UCCS in the greater Colorado Springs community.  S/he will be integral to Chancellor Reddy’s charge to build on past successes and further elevate UCCS within the CU system and to greater national stature.

UCCS, one of four campuses in the CU system, offers 45 bachelor’s degrees, 22 master’s and five doctoral degree programs.  UCCS has a rapidly increasing student body of over 12,400 on-campus students during the fall 2017 semester, a 3.6% increase over the previous year and a record-high enrollment.  Additionally, there are more than 3,000 students enrolled in online courses.  Almost one-third of the student body are Pell Grant recipients and more than 30% self-identify as minorities.  The campus employs more than 1,500 faculty and staff and has an annual budget of $240 million.

With a demonstrated commitment to the principles of public higher education and a track record managing complex business functions involving multiple and varied constituencies, the VCAF will serve as a partner with the Provost in advancing the academic mission and will be a thought partner with the Chancellor and the Chancellor’s Leadership Team.  Skilled in strategic planning and risk assessment, the VCAF is a dynamic and visionary leader who will further develop and strengthen UCCS’ business, fiscal and management systems and campus operations. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in business, public administration, accounting, finance or closely related field.  Terminal degree is preferred.  A minimum of fifteen years of diversified and progressively responsible management experience in higher education including increasing levels of responsibility for finance, operations and the integration of budget structures with enrollment management is required.
