The New Economic School is a private, non-profit, non-governmental economics graduate school founded in Moscow in 1992. Please see our web site: www.nes.ru/en/home/ NES offers five academic programs: a two-year master program in economics, a master of economics in energy and natural resources program, a one-year master of science in finance program, a master in finance for working professionals program, and a bachelor of economics program offered jointly with the Higher School of Economics. NES is also active in policy advice and executive education. The core of NES is its resident faculty of 30 young economists with PhDs in Economics and Finance from world leading universities including Harvard, MIT, Columbia, NYU, and LBS. In the last 5 years, faculty have published articles in the leading finance and economics journals including, The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, The Journal of Financial Economics, and The American Economic Review, among many others. Many graduates of NES’s two-year master program in economics go on to Ph.D. programs in Economics, Finance and Accounting at some of the best universities in the world including Wharton (U. of Penn.), Harvard, MIT, London Business School, Stanford, Northwestern, Princeton, and Yale, among others.
